Losing the track of time

Some people have a natural talent of keeping up with the time. Not me. I can lose track of time quite easily, even days, months or years. It's not uncommon for me to think that it's a completely different day. Especially when there are some extra days off during the week. Like there was now. I was thinking it was Wednesday the whole yesterday even though it was already Thursday.

Maybe this has something to do with the way I remember things. In that, I also don't recall the dates easily. I don't remember the order of things chronologically. I need to find some causality between them to put them in order.

Normally I get away with it by the routines. It's easy to live day by day following the same routines. You just repeat things until its time to do something different. For exceptions, I need a calendar, or somebody reminding me where we go at the moment.

Maybe I should start checking what day is it first thing in the morning. To make sure I don't miss out anything important and am prepared for the correct day. But even that wouldn't probably help. I know I was aware of what day it was yesterday, I just didn't care about it and just lived by what I felt the day was.
