It's been one and a half month since we got the keys to our new apartment. I've been visiting there quite often during this time. Not every day, but multiple times on other days. Almost every trip I have made I have had some amount of less frequently needed items with me to get the moving going a bit faster. No point in driving with an empty car there.
Our car isn't too big, but it still has plenty of room for anything but the biggest furniture thanks to the folding back seats. On average I've had four or five moving boxes or something comparable with me driving there. In total that must be somewhere around a hundred box in total. Where did all this stuff came from?
A couple of boxes at the time doesn't feel too much. It's hardly any extra work when visiting there. For example today I needed a hammer at our old place but realized it's at the new one. While driving to pick it I loaded four boxes of books with me to get there at the same time.
Even if I get all this small stuff moved there beforehand I'm sure there will be enough work to do on the actual moving day to get all the furniture and other big stuff carried over in one day. Imagine if we would need to have all those boxes to go at the same time!
