Today is 11.11, one of the few days in a year when both US and non-US people can agree the date. It's also a singles day , yet another of those meaningless days made to sell more goods with an excuse of giving this special day deals.
There seems to be ever increasing numbers of these sales days. We are only a few weeks away from black friday and following cyber monday. Soon after the holiday sales begin and the year is concluded with the end of the year clearance sales.
I pretty much consider these days the regular price days. It's the rest of the days when the shops sre just hiking up prices so that these regular prices seem like a good deal.
I try to avoid buying anything big outside these days. I prefer paying the "regular price". The only time I would buy anything outside the sales is if something important breaks up and I need to replace it while there is no deals available. But anything as important as that is well insured anyway so it doesn't really matter. It's the insurance company who's paying the bill anyway.
