Barefooted through the winter

It's been over 15 years since I took my first steps in barefoot shoes. Back then there wasn't many options besides Vibram five-fingers. While my original KSO's have hold well throughout the years, but they aren't really the shoes you would rock around the city.

The first years went getting used to the new feel while walking. Any hard surfaces were a no-go, but it didn't matter as I enjoyed hiking on the trail anyway. Over the years, when I got more accustomed to the barefoot walking, and later running it also became more comfortable walking on the harder surfaces. It still took me around ten years to be comfortable running on any surface.

Over the years the options for barefoot shoes have also grown. For several years now there has been good looking options for casual wear as well. Only thing that has been missing from my barefoot journey has been comfortable, warm and good looking winter shoes. During the past years it has felt a bit awkward having been forced to walk in regular shoes during the winter. Until now...

Yesterday I finally bought myself a pair of barefoot winter shoes. Finally I can walk year around barefooted!
