Agreeing to disagree

Reaching consensus in a group of 8 people with vastly different backgrounds and focus areas is quite a challenge. Even though from the outside we as a management team should appear to agree on things and lead the company to the same direction doesn't mean we actually need to agree on everything.

Oftentimes the "perfect" solution needs to be a compromise. Different views need to be taken into account without one point dictating the whole direction. Of course the one who is mainly responsible for the area should have the final say, but others need to be at least heard. In the end, despite different opinions what comes out needs to be something that the whole team stands behind.
