No matter how close or far, with family, friends or alone, it's always nice to get back home. Another weekend away is now behind and we are back home. Even if it was just a few days it's still nice to be back.
There is nothing wrong being away. Usually, it's really nice. Seeing new places or old friends alike. Spending some time with family and relatives we don't see too often. It's nice indeed.
Too bad they are all so far away. The trip takes hours. Boring hours sitting in a car, train or plane, trying to pass the time. Sometimes driving yourself other times just trying to enjoy the ride. Or more like hoping it will be over soon enough. Cramped seats, bad weather and staying still for too long. And then there are all those other people around.
There is also never enough time to see everything or everybody. The schedule is always right. there just isn't time for everything before its time to head back home.
Still, it's always nice to get back home as soon as possible. At home you can relax. No need to be anywhere else. Just enjoying the fond memories of the latest trip. And then, maybe starting to plan the next one already.
