Christmas is one of the holidays with strongest traditions attached to it. Of course those traditions vary quite a lot. Everybody have their own.
Our family traditions aren't that established yet. There hasn't been that many times we have spend it by just us. So far the most defining tradition for our family has been spending the Christmas with either of our own parents and families.
I think this is only the second Christmas we are not staying with someone else. So there hasn't been that many times to form those traditions yet. Mostly, our Christmas id combination of those two different Christmas traditions we have used to while staying with our parents.
Maybe it's time to start forming some of our own already. Or maybe we already have some. At least I hope so. It would be nice if, for example playing boardgames would be part of it also in the future. Another one, which I wouldn't mind getting rid of is the constant redecoration of the Christmas tree. Our cats are too fascinated by all those ornaments and can't keep their paws off of them.
After all, the most important tradition is spending time with the loved ones. No matter what we do during the time.
