The outdoor sofa I ordered couple of weeks ago arrived today. It is now filling our balcony which has until now been mostly unused. There hasn't been any proper furniture there until now so it hasn't been too tempting to spend any extended amount of time there even when the weather has been nice.
Next I need to finish setting up the safety net for our cats so they can also join us freely there. We had the net last year, but even at over two meters high it didn't keep our cats in. So this time I'm about to extend the net all the way up till the roof leaving no gaps to escape through. Obviously they'd need some platforms to lay on so they can observe the outside world properly from the vantage point.
Now that it's finally becoming functional space the next step would then be to make it also look inviting. Currently it's still quite spartan, just the polyrattan sofa there in the corner. It definitely need some more eloquent touches, like maybe a plant or two. It's our little getaway now that it's not possible to travel that much. And even when it becomes once again possible it will still be there for all the in between times.
