The never-ending books

I consider myself as an avid reader. Throughout the years I have probably read thousands of books. My taste is somewhat limited to certain genres limiting the amount of books to read. This however hardly seems as a problem as it feels like there is endless amount of books to read both old and new.

While the science fiction and fantasy genres don't span much further than the last century there are many authors that have contributed to the vast library of stories. Some authors being among the most productive authors ever out from all literature. Even if there wouldn't be any new books ever I could easily spend the rest of my life among these books. I could even skip the good part of the not so good stuff.

But those genres aren't going away and the art of writing books will keep producing new material to read indefinitely. Not only that, but the modern publishing options also enable more authors to get their work published. As with everything else there is more content created today than ever before.

Good thing I'm not in this for the completion. I'm just happy having something to read without worrying to find the next book to read.
