I went to our office yesterday, first time after March. It was nice meeting my dear old colleagues and also see the few new ones I haven't had a chance to meet in person before. There is just something s video call can't convey.
But that was pretty much it. There wasn't much of anything else that would warrant the effort to go there. For me, it's easier to find the focus to do the actual work at home. Sure I could find it at the office too, but considering the effort to get there it's just not worth it. For some, it seems the opposite. After several conversations about the topic it was apparent remote work just isn't for everybody. That's why it's good to still have both options available. Remote first doesn't need to mean remote only.
So work wise I don't see any reason for me to visit the office anymore. But I will definitely try to visit there a bit more often just because of the people.
