Home gym

When returning back to the gym after a long break I remembered why I don't like it. It's not the actual workout that bothers me. I think I'm actually starting to like it. It's not even the extra effort of actually getting there. That just adds some friction.

The first two times the gym was quite crowded. It's a bigger, more popular gym than what I used to go before. But yesterday there weren't that many people there and I felt a bit more relaxed.

It would be nice to be able to exercise alone, or at least only with people I know. With public gyms it's almost impossible. Even those open 24/7 might have somebody else there during the wee hours. And that kind of times have their own problems.

I also found out there is s private gym around here. A place where you can reserve time in 30 minute increments and have the whole gym all for yourself and up to 4 friends for the time. Unfortunately the price isn't too tempting and the fact that in addition of still having to get out there you would have a specific time window for your exercising.

Wouldn't it be nice to have your own gym at home. I mean even for the people not suffering from such social anxiety as I do there are clear benefits when you can workout whenever you want.
