Two weeks of talks

It's that time again: the growth discussions with those who I lead. As if it wouldn't be challenging and uneasy for me to just do it for those immediately under my supervision this time around I decided to do an extended round of talks also with people who belong to different units, but act in a role I'm responsible for in broader sense (architects). On top of that I also promised to go through those discussions with some of my peers - those who are in similar position regarding other roles in our company. That's total of 20 one to one and a half hour discussions.

Sure that leaves plenty of time in between the discussions, even accounting the preparation times. Luckily it seems there will be plenty of client meetings booked as well for the coming weeks and there is also one internal workshop day. So I won't be doing much of my "regular" technical work during these two weeks. On the other hand, that's what my job is nowadays. I'm just glad I actually have time to focus on these discussions, even have a few extra ones instead of trying to do all of them in a hurry, without proper preparations along my other tasks.

Besides, I haven't been able to do much of any hands-on development for years. That's why I have side projects, like Writestreak.

The weirdest thing is - I'm actually looking forward having all those discussions.
