Black Friday deal

Even though I'm not a big fan of the Black Friday (or any other commercial / capitalistic events) I did pay a special attention this year. There is a lot of purchases we need to do for our new home and it would be foolish not to take advance of those great discounts.

I already had a quite definite list of things we need with the best alternative makes and models I had already evaluated beforehand. This way I wouldn't be blinded by just the great prices. I also had a prior prices checked so I could avoid all those sneaky bump and dump deals.

Due to my highly specific lists it first started to seem like none of the items on my list would be on sale. It was only by a chance that I happened to come across a deal for one of the items in my list, the steam oven. The deal wasn't the exact oven of (one of the options) which I had chosen earlier. It was actually the top of the line model of one of those. One that I had judged too expensive and where the next best model was offering mostly the same features with more affordable price point. At 40% discount it was well below the best value model and still a great save for pur limited budget.

Now I just need to learn to cook sous vide to get the best out of it.
