Yardwork

One of the criteria for the new home was a yard with minimal need for maintenance. Having a yard is nice, but keeping it in shape can be a lot of work. And neither of us is a green thumb either.

The new one is actually a bit bigger than the previous one. But there is no lawn to be cut or hopefully much of anything else that needs to be done over the summer. The only thing (I hope) is raking the leaves and removing extra overgrowth from last year, which I've spend the last two days doing. Of course there is some lawn in our common yard, but not much and the responsibility taking care of that is shared with the neighbour.

The yard we have is basically a wild garden. There is a lot of different kinds of plants I have no idea what they are. But over the summer they'll reveal themselves. Need to see it in it's full bloom first to make the judgement, but I do have some ideas already how to make it more to my likings (and require even less maintenance).
