Optimal conditions

We drove back home from the cottage today. It was nice and sunny spring day, the roads were dry and there wasn't too much traffic along the route. I especially chose the more "scenic" route to avoid the heavy traffic on the main roads that is to be expected in days like this after a long weekend.

While I wouldn't really have to worry about the "fuel" economy with electric car there is the range anxiety still with them. It's gotten easier over the past two years. Partly due getting used to it and learning how things affect how far you can get with a certain amount of charge in the battery, partly because there are a lot more charging stations around.

There also isn't much to save by optimizing the driving. I calculated that driving electric once again saved us over 70 Euros compared to gas just during this one trip. I spent total 12 Euros along the way for charging, so there isn't really big saving opportunities left.

Anyway, didn't pay too much attention to trying to drive economically, but at the end of the trip I think I hit one of the lowest average consumption so far.
