Car versus train

It's about sixty kilometers from my home to the office. The two options for me to get there is either by car or by train (in theory there is a third option by bus, but that's not really feasible because it would take twice as long as the other options).

I mostly commute by train for a few practical reasons: my wife usually needs the car to get to her work and we anly have a few parking spots at the office. So it's only those rare occasions when my wife has a remote day and there is a free parking slot when the car is an option. As I haven't been going to the office that often lately and being able to select the days when I do so that both of the car option conditions are met I've roughly used both methods quite evenly.

Both options have their benefits and downsides. Using car is cheaper, there isn't other people around and I'm not bound by the train schedules. There is also no walking, I pretty much get from door to door, and no waiting either. On the other hand I don't mind a little walk and on the train I can already start working while on my way. While the train might sometimes be late it's still a lot less stressful than navigating the rush hour in the city.
