Using glue or tape to attach things together has two problems:
- They don't hold together and eventually fall apart
- The residue from the glue or tape is near impossible to remove from the surface
Most often these two things happen on same occasion. The thunga you were hoping to stick together come off and then you are left with two sticky things, or even worse the surface of where you tried to do the attachment comes along with the glue.
In theory these two attachment methods are great. You don't need to drill any holes or anything to fasten things and the residue is in most cases possible to be removed with some care and effort. They have their uses, but ober the years I have acquired a healthy suspicion trusting either of those to keep anything important in place. If I want something to stay in place I only trust screws and nails.
