How much was written by AI?

Today I posted a big announcement about one of this years action plans in our company's general Slack channel. Afterwards I got a few private messages asking how much of that post was written by AI. We do have a policy that every piece of AI written ot assisted texts should be clearly marked as such and I do also follow that rule.

In this case what might have sparked those questions probably was the fact that the post wasn't written by me. The plan was created by a group of people and we just agreed that I would be the most suitable person to post it even though somebody else wrote it. It didn't sound like something I would write even though I did do some edits to it before posting. I'm also pretty sure the person who wrote it didn't use AI.

It's a healthy suspicion. Detecting AI created content these days is a valuable skill. It cam be a great tool to create content when the process still involves actual human to at least do the fact checking before publishing the text. Even though AI can be good at generating content it doesn't always get the facts right. The content can also be viewed less personal. Especially when it's more than just some factual text.
