Filling up the silence

Apart from all those beeping noises and warnings the new car does have some other ways to make up the lack of engine sounds. The mandatory VESS is there, now it can't be turned off anymore. I wish they could have done the same with the speed limit notification as they did with the VESS before it became mandatory.

To make up the lack of noise in the inside of the car there are also a few different soundscapes available which range from somewhat realistic engine sound to sci-fi style whooshing noises to make it feel even more like a spaceship. There is also an option to listen to some relaxing ambient soundscapes if that's more of your thing. But what's the point of making up those sounds when one of the benefit of the electric car is the lack of engine noises?

Luckily there is also a premium sound system to make some more meaningful "noise" to enjoy the ride. The first impression of the Bose sound system was a bit lacking when I was listening to radio. But when l was able to hook up a better music source to it my verdict changed. The difference with a premium sound system is that you can really hear when the source is of bad quality.
