This year is a leap year meaning there is an additional day during this year (today). This also means I need to write one additional post this year compared to a regular year.
During my writing streak there has been three leap years in total. The first one, in 2016 was also the first leap year, but it didn't yet affect my yearly writing score as I only started writing towards the end of the year. So this is actually only the second extra post I have had to write so far.
In the grand scale of things it doesn't really matter much. It's just the next day like every else. Only matters if you want to count the years written simply by dividing the total count of posts by the days in a (regular)year.
Btw. if you remember my posts about the doomsday algorithm you should also remember today is the doomsday of February, one of the variable days based on whether it is a leap year or not.
