In rare occasions my writing cuts close to midnight. On a regular day there is no hurry even of I write just before going to bed and on the days I know I will be up late I tend to write earlier just in case.
Today was a bit different. A special day as we gathered the whole family to celebrate my sons birthday. As we usually do when we get together we did play some boardgames in the evening .
With the games we play it's often hard to predict how long those games will run. Even if we play just one round it can be anything between 2 to 4 hours. We got started a bit later than originally planned so if the game would have run at the higher end of the estimate it would have been well past midnight when we would have finished it. Of course we could have taken a small break in between to allow me to write my daily post before continuing, or I could have written while waiting for my turn.
Luckily we were able to beat the game well over an hour before midnight so it didn't cut that close.
