I don't have anywhere near perfect eyesight. My other eye sees relatively well to a distance and the other is good at close up. So in most situations I do just fine without glasses. Unfortunately the area of vision of my eyes doesn't overlap. At around one meter away neither of my eyes can focus enough to make up What's there.
Due to this "blind" area I have to use glasses mostly when working on a computer. The viewing distance for an ergonomically comfortable posture falls right into my area of poor vision.
Another thing that came apparent recently suring the building of our larp is the personal name tags. There is a lot of people and not everybody know each other. So we have this policy of carrying name tags all the time to make it easier to recognise who they are working with, or find the person they need to talk to.
It's a bit awkward for me. With computer screen for example I can always lean closer to have a look on what's on the screen. But leaning towards a person doesn't feel appropriate unless I want to explain my condition while doing so. I could as well just ask their name.
