Different stories

During our open doors tours oir visitors got to experience a "real" visit to a spaceship. We tried to create an immersive experience from the moment they stepped in. The ship we staged in itself with all the light and sound effects and props would have been immersive enough, but in addition to that we had people from our staff playing various roles of the crew around the ship.

The guides were also in-character for the whole time of the tour. We were walking the visitors around the ship and telling about it's history and mission along the "facts" about the different sections we passed, sometimes coloring the stories with events that happened there.

But we didn't have a strict script for these tour talks. Every guide had the freedom to tell their own story. Of course there had some guidelines and tips given and everybody in our staff knows the overall story quite well to be able to tell plausible sounding story about the ship.

Going around the ship during the day I listened other guides and their stories whenever I had the chance. Sometimes picking up new ideas for my own story, but mostly just enjoying what they were telling. While the main story remained mostly the same there were quite a variety in details.
