My back pain didn't ease as fast as it appeared so I had to contact physiotherapist. After going through the standard pattern of questions she got a good picture of what was going on.
After the short lecture of the importance of stretching, good posture and overall taking care of my body she gave me some guidance on how to stretch and medicate myself to get my back functioning again.
Se also suggested trying kinesiology tape to help my back muscles to relax while recovering by providing support. I was a bit suspicious at first, but the pain made me tey anything that could potentially help.
Immediately after applying the tape I felt better. I was able to walk straight and getting up or down wasn't that painful either. I was also able to sleep the whole night although the back was still a bit stiff in the morning. But after stretching (and some meds) I feel I'm almost fully functional. Just need to remember to still take it easy to allow my back to fully recover and not forget I'm still mostly held together with tape.
