fallacy

Last moment

Well, this hasn't happened for a long time: I almost forgot to write. I remember I was about to write in the morning, but then something interrupted me. Then I just forgot to get back to it. I even forgot that I didn't actually write despite having the intention to start. That intention was enough to leave a memory footprint in my mind regarding the activity of writing.

Altered state of mind

It's hard to change your mind once it's set. It's also surprisingly easy to set your mind when you still don't have an opinion. Depending on the source you probably fix your mind to the first "fact" you hear about the matter or decide to oppose it. After that nothing can change that fixation anymore. At least not easily.

Beginners expertise

Quite often I encounter tutorials or other posts about various matters that I consider myself being an expert in. Sometimes those texts might be spot on, but way too often I find them being just somebody getting started and sharing their experience.

While this is great knowledge sharing and I fully support such things, unfortunately, that beginner advice might sometimes be counterproductive, wrong or even dangerous. It's so easy to think you are right once you have figured out something and got it working. It's great to share such wins.
