Bare minimum

Trying to fit my posts into about 200 words requires leaving out all the unnecessary. There is barely room for the facts. It can be challenging as a writer to do that. But there is also another issue with such posts.

Stripping out everything extra is like extracting out the flavour. Without all those additional little tidbits od information the text becomes dry and boring. It also makes it more impersonal.

For informative articles this sure is a good thing. Trying to state the matter as efficiently as possible. But even then, examples could often make the information more approachable. It's easier to relate to some real world things than just abstract concepts that you need to come up those examples yourself.

So there should be a balance between remaining strictly informative to keep things short and simple enough and giving enough context and examples to make it more personal and understandable.

One possibility to achieve this while staying with the other boundaries would be to split such things into two separate posts: one laying out the example from the real world, telling my story and experiences of the subject. And yhen following up with the other, more informative post explaining the consept or idea behind the story.
