Vacation and holidays

I'll be on vacation for the next two weeks. I had a plenty of leftover vacation days and as there will be multiple paid days off during the next two weeks it was a good chance to have a bit longer vacation while spending fewer of those precious vacation days for it.

On the other hand, I don't feel the need for the vacation. I enjoy my work and am able to maintain great work/life balance there. A proof of that is how many days I had unspent. Would have been better to just take two normal weeks of. I could have been able to get rid of almost all my unspent vacation days that way.

But many of my colleagues are on vacation during this time too. So working during this time wouldn't have been the same anyway. Now, I get most of them used up, but still have few more left if I get the feeling that I need some time of during the spring.

If this isn't a good indication of great workplace I don't know what is. And worst of all: next year we'll probably get another perk there. It has been discussed that we could start accumulating extra vacation days after five and ten years staying at the company. What am I going to do with all those extra vacation days?
