Where does the summer end? After my vacation has been over and the weather hasn't "seem" like summer for some time now it somehow feels that the summer is over already. I've already spent my three weeks of summer. I even got lucky and got some warm and sunny days included.
But the summer is nowhere over yet. Not even our famously short Finnish summer. We are roughly half way through, depending on how you count.
The summer can be many things. Mentally, it's when you feel like it. Usually around your vacation and/or when it's warm enough to wear t-shirt and shorts outside. The astronomical summer starts from the solstice happening at 21st of June (on northern hemisphere) and ends three months later at the autumn equinox. Meteorological summer on the other hand usually contains the month June, July and August. Of course the actual weather can often disagree on those dates.
Of course you can always also artificially extend the summer leaving to a warmer area.
Anyway, there is still summer left. Work or not, time to enjoy it.
