During the recent days the Covid cases have started to go up again. It's becoming apparent that the second wave is coming no matter what we do at this point. It's too late already to prevent it, we just need to get back to the flatten the curve -phase fast enough.
Everything was going fine already. There were a period of no new cases. All seemed normal once again; then we forgot. The virus hadn't gone anywhere. It was just patiently waiting for us to come out again. People returning from vacations back to "normal" life, schools starting and restrictions being lifted all at the same time really wasn't helping the situation.
Just because our precautions worked didn't mean we were through it. Not until there is vaccine to grant us enough resistance to it.
Now we just need to relearn to live in this situation. Hopefully it will happen fast enough so that the situation doesn't get too bad before everything is under control again.
Too bad even if we do learn something from this and could act properly to prevent the third wave the vaccine will probably save us before that. And then we can but all this behind us, forgot everything. And then start from the scratch again on the next time.
