Not doing anything

It's really hard to just be there and take a moment without doing anything. We are so addicted to doing something all the time to keep our mind occupied and all those thoughts away. We need apps even for that. There is an abundance of meditation and mindfulness apps available.  That's actually not doing anything , that's still doing something: nothing. There is a difference. 

It's so easy to fill even the smallest gaps in our lives with something. There is always something to watch. The phone is always on our reach. There might be a new update in our social stream or a message from somebody. The endless stream of distractions to give us something to do at all times. To keep us from not having anything to do 

I try to take that moment of not doing anything every day. It's not really that hard, once you manage to get started. Just like everything else. The funny thing is that I often find myself procrastinating even in this matter. There always seems to be something better to do.
