Seveneves (not the Neal Stephenson one)

Others who are not yet too deep into the genre might enjoy it a bit more. All in all, I would give this movie seven(eves) out of ten(et) from my own perspective purely as an action movie.

The comparison with Inception comes to my mind, both being the mind-twisting stories everybody is talking about while I'm left wondering what's all the fuzz about. Maybe I've just seen too many of these stories that nothing can surprise me anymore. Or maybe I'm just overlooking the fine nuances they provide.

But most of the movie I was just looking for the mistakes in the logic and entertaining myself with predicting the surprises that were prepared for the viewers later in the movie. It also did bring up some deeper thoughts about the less often used time travel trope. As an action secret agent movie with a sci-fi twist, it was a fine experience.  It wasn't a bad movie.

Maybe I just expected too much from such a mainstream production. After high expectations from both the intriguing premise and high praises it has received I was quite disappointed. We went to see the new Christopher Nolan movie Tenet last night.
