Welcome to the future

It's year 2020, the year of Cyberpunk (sure true players know the original edition was set on year 2013). During the last two decades a lot of old sci-fi settings have become past.

Sure, there are new sci-fi set into the near future written every decade. And it wasn't different in the past either. But for me personally, the last two decades were the ones when a lot of the sci-fi I used to consume during my youth finally came to pass.

Sometimes writing less can give the reader more. When you leave more to the imagination of the reader they will create their own stories. Squeezing a post into 200 words is something, but true masters can tell complete stories with just six words.

I really enjoy reading such stories, flash fiction it's called. It's a nice contrast to reading all those heavy tomes. Some are just prompts to let your imagination fly. Others offer the satisfaction of understanding and enlightenment. An easy read for a busy moment.

Challenges of time travel

Time travelling is hard. And I'm not talking about physically or mathematically hard here (which it also very well is). I mean it's really hard to get right in fiction. The only place where it is possible, as far as we know.

There are so many problems present in all the works of fiction containing time travelling I don't even know where to start. Maybe from he types of time travel.
