Return of the hunter-gatherer

Just s hint that everything might not be just like normally and suddenly completely normal and rational individuals fall into primal instincts. The pandemic has caused a trigger on many people to start hoarding essential goods like there is no tomorrow. Or ay least the delivery trucks wouldn't return to restock those empty shelves every day.

Undoubtedly there will be shortage of some things. But this assumption doesn't warrant to overreact in such a way as to hoard things like toilet paper so there isn't any left for other. Even for normal daily needs. And what good will the toilet paper be any way in the worst case scenario? Are they going to wrap the bodies in it, like mummies?

It's fine to get reasonable reserves to get through the worst. It's ok to get a bit more at once to avoid visiting crowded stores too often and risk getting infected.

Once again, it's going to be fine. We just need to adjust for the situation. As long as we remain civilized we'll get through everything.
