Upcoming talking gigs

I have known it for a while now, but finally can say it publicly: I'm going to Amsterdam in October to talk about green tech thinking in Drupalcon! I also just heard the same session is accepted for Drupalcamp Helsinki held earlier this autumn.

It's been a while my last talk gig and now I have two of those upcoming still this year. I might even submit another topic for the X-con coming up at some point later during the year. And then there is still the possibility to get to talk more about the green tech on WWF meetups.

Off to a vacation

Tomorrow, my vacation officially starts. The last three days have just been national holiday and a weekend. And while it was nice to spend the midsummer at the cottage again it wasn't actually too much rest.

However I won't be getting much of free time and rest during my vacation either. These next two weeks will be busy ones building and running the game we are organising.

The switchover

Today is the day when our traininglarp project gets it final conclusion when we gather together to have a retrospective on the project. We will also go through the player feedback we have received about the game.

Today is also the day we get the keys to the school which, over the next three weeks, we are going to transform into a spaceship. Unfortunately I can't be personally present there from day one, but still its a beginning of the work we have been planning for over a year.

Intriguing opportunities

Just as i have gotten one project mostly out of the way there has been a couple of new projects available already. I seriously considered those for a moment. But luckily I finally came to my senses and declined them.

I think I still have enough to do for the next couple of months. And then, a small break wouldn't hurt. After that, I could seriously start considering to undertake any new projects. And even then, I need to remember not to take too many of those at the same time. Of course, if something really interesting comes up I know I'm probably unable to say no after all.
