Quarterly review

The first quarter of the year is almost over and it has also been around three months since I did the latest adjustments to my productivity system. So it's a good time to take a look at how has it gone so far.

A quick recap of my system: I have a list of daily tasks, divided into five categories each having 2-5 items. My goal each day is to both complete at least one item from each category and to complete total at least as many tasks as I did in the previous day.

Overall, my first feeling is that it hasn't gone that well. I haven't been able to keep up much of streaks. It's been mostly a few days max before they break.

But statistically looking, I do have hit both of those daily goals over 50% of the time. That's not too bad, but sure could be improved.

So has it been working towards the real goal behind the system? I would say yes. While I haven't been able to keep up with the strict targets I can clearly see I get more things done each day. And that's the most important thing, the real goal I have been aiming to.
